.
What if I can’t make it there by 9:30pm on Friday?
Racers who are unable to pick up their registration information packets prior to 9:30pm on Friday evening will be able to retrieve packets from Mojo Bicycle Café in San Francisco (639-A Divisadero Street: http://g.co/maps/4c5a2) from 10:30pm to 1:00am. Registration packet pickup is also available on Saturday from 8:30am to 5pm.
.
Where can I find my start time for Saturday’s qualifier?
Your start time will be emailed to you prior to Saturday. It will also be included in your registration packets as well as published in a blog post next week.
.
Is parking going to suck balls around Mojo for the qualifier?
Yes, so ride your bike. Yes, so take public transportation. Yes, so leave plenty of time to find parking and don’t say we didn’t warn you. Also don’t be late for your qualifying flight, laggers.
.
Do women have to do the qualifier?
Yes. The qualifier will determine in part your start position. Unless we go over 100 women entries all women will automatically qualify for Women’s SSCXWC. This does not mean you can blow off the qualifier, ‘cuz then you’d be hella lame.
.
What’s the deal with E.A.W.?
Due to field size limitations at Golden Gate Park, there is a limit on the men’s field. The qualifying list will be emailed to registrants on Saturday evening as well as posted on the blog. However, the best way to find out if you have qualified for the Men’s SSCXWC race and the only way to qualify through the Sixth Feat of Strength is to be present at the party! Those men who don’t qualify for the main event will still have a chance to test their mettle on the prized Golden Gate course with an automatic entry into the Men’s SS E.A.W category.
Can I pre-ride the course?
For the love of God, no. For serious. Due to the delicate nature of Golden Gate Park, there will be no pre-riding of the course on Saturday. Additionally, the course will be closed to pre-riding during each scheduled event on Sunday.
If you don’t know the course yet, you won’t before the event.
.
What’s up with Saturday’s party – is it open to the public?
No, due to regulations with the ABC (that’s the alcohol police, by the way), not just any Joe Schmoe can walk in off the street. But if you’re reading this on the SSCXWC website, then it’s likely you are included in some part of this sentence: “The party is open to participants, volunteers, race affiliates and their guests only.”
I have a question about registration that’s not answered here, or I need to talk about transfers
