Christina Peck, Chicago – Rider Profile

18 Nov

I’m 25, I have been a courier for a number of years and now I bike around car to car doing fleet management for Zipcar. My team is the Chicago Cuttin Crew. http://www.chicagocuttincrew.com

1)Costume or team kit

Team kit. Although I’m always down to don a costume for Halloween.

2)what the best bike race costume you have seen or worn (have pic?)

This year’s vegan dog was a big hit. It especially smelled awful considering the previous night’s festivities. (http://inconsistentyouth.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/dsc1459.jpg)

3)Favorite sscxwc sponsor beverage?

New Belgium and Pabst have been supportive of many of the things we do out here. Depending on the mood, either one can really hit the spot.

4)Dedicated SSCX bike or conversion? (if conversion, what is the tensioner)

Personal issue All City Nature Boy. Jeff is a great guy running a great company out of Minneapolis. It gets it done for me racing and getting around town.

5)What gear will you run?

Bigger than you.

6)If you win where would you get the tattoo?

I’m pretty sure lower back is still available. Just to throw that out there.

7)What is the best heckle directed at or uttered by you?

Got some.

8)Wwhat is the best or tastiest hand up you were ever offered in a race/ did you take it?

Jeppsen’s Malort. Try it.

9)What is the best thing about chicago cross?

The competition is pretty serious yet it is a lax, enjoyable atmosphere. I’m convinced my team makes it the best experience it can be for everyone. I should also highlight the support across the board. Every team hosting a race is always working so hard to improve their race each year. I should also note that the tickets and registration for this race were prizes put together at our Officially Unofficial Cyclocross Single Speed Championship by Half Acre Cycling and North Central Cyclery (THANKS!).
